# Mriya International Film Festival (MIFF / Мрія)

> Ukrainian-founded international film festival in Brussels. Short films, documentaries, fiction and animation from Ukraine and around the world. Ticket proceeds support humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

Mriya International Film Festival is a cultural organisation created by the Ukrainian community in Belgium. The name Мрія means “dream” in Ukrainian and refers to the An-225 Mriya aircraft.

The festival is international: programmes include Ukrainian and world cinema, in several languages, with screenings in Brussels (Cinema RITCS, La Tricoterie) and special events in other Belgian cities. Formats include short films, feature films, documentaries and animation.

MIFF is charitable in purpose. Tickets and fundraising are directed to humanitarian organisations in Ukraine. The team also runs cine-clubs, special screenings, and a call for films on FilmFreeway.
